He's still hopeful on getting the 4 targets. No "no" answer so far.
What I heard was that they were more permanent than loans (?).
I also got the impression that it was on our side to agree the fees and/ or terms (?).
How do you interpret his comments?
Also, Yiadom interest gone quiet - no giveaway for Hudds, Reading etc.
Lindsay out for Rotherham. Hecky disapponted with his injury.
    Voilà!!

Very encouraging interview for us fans.
    My interpretation:
Talks on going with 4 players and the clubs they play for.
All 4 players on permanent deals.
It's up to all parties now to agree right transfer fee/wages.
Barnsley need to know soon if those deals are going to be made - if not they will look elsewhere.

So if all 4 are permanent - then this will give room for more loans to be brought in.

Is there an indication which positions he's looking at strengthening in the interview ? Sorry at work so can't listen until later.

    TIA

Didn't say. Took a few notes whilst listening so you can get the gist:

    Injuries against Rotherham?
Liam - groin injury, frustrating - could've been prevented with more education to him.

    Is McGeehan up to speed?
2nd round of fitness testing today - know more then. V. aerobically fit as worked hard. Was way behind on functional stuff, need to get him equal on both legs ready for games otherwise risk dif injuries. Playing in friendly next week if tests ok.

    Everyone else?
    Hedge's fractured cheekbone getting better.

What are you looking for against Rotherham?
Better out of possession - too off the cuff, not in sync.

Where does Mowatt fit in future plans?
If plays well enough, will play. Could play central, tucked in off either side or in a three.

Ike Ugo's recent form - how pleasing and encouraging?
Was unknown by a lot of others, we did lots of h/w on him. Brought in to score lots of goals, big jump but technically good enough. Will give lots of support. Was behind in game time - built on that.

    New players coming in soon?
Hope so. Nothing changed. Still working on 4 names - still possible, looking at others just in case. Wanted by 1st game of season, still might.

When's cut off process? (Response to Hecky saying can't wait forever)
Hoping soon, things are moving just takes time. Would rather a quick no than it dragging out.

Any agreements in place for them?
Not waiting on clubs to get other players in to replace these, just need to agree fee and terms.

Yiadom - update? Contract signing or otherwise.
Not yet, no. Joke about dragging him to table with pen in hand. No further things from Hudds, Reading etc. Lots of talks with Yiadom, knows how much he's wanted. Clear to other clubs that they're not getting him on the cheap and now they've backed off.

Really appreciate that Jam cheers my friend. Going off what you've put Hecky seems more upbeat so I assume the transfer front on the 4 targets have gathered some pace. Shame about Lindsay sounds like he kept his injury quiet from the staff in order to impress in the friendlies ?

I definitely got that impression. He came back to it a few times about how that could have been prevented. Hopefully Liam's learned his lesson that he'll now play less due to being injured than if he'd just fessed up and they could have managed it.

I only saw him in the Huddersfield game and he certainly impressed in that. At least we appear to have some cover in Jackson (not sure he will be able to hold down a regular spot though) and Pinnock (completely unknown quantity but comes with a big reputation). I would think that McCarthy can play there as well, leaving the fullback slots for Yiadom and Fryers.

We might be a bit short still but there's no need to press any panic buttons.
