I know we are a small club but i think we need to splash the cash on a decent goal scorer rest of team in my opinion is decent enough to survive
Contracts mean jack **** even if he had signed a new deal if villa came in for conor his agent mixes it up abit he would have wanted to leave. Villa put a decent offer in and we would always sell. We would have just got a decent fee instead of 3 million.
I think bradshaw was probably the long term replacement.... Not quite worked out yet but theres still time
Agents the bain of football they don't have the players interests at heart they are only after lining there own pockets
Don't twist my words. It seems to me that those who don't/can't attend matches will always be the most vociferous supporters/defenders on here. That is all I am saying.
Wrong watkins and winnall was always the best partnership watkins did the donkey work winnall scored the goals.
Well I do go to games, but i'll bow down to you as a greater fan because you live closer and most likely go more often.
If we can't get another striker in then we need a change of formation i fancy 4-3-2-1 with moncur and mallan the 2 behind bradshaw with hamill isgrove mowett int the mid
Bradshaw and Winnall started 8 games out of 27 played whilst at the club together. Not really a partnership to me. In balance, they scored regularly together on our good run of form in December.
I never said they were the best partnership did I? I simply stated an undeniable fact that Sam winnall and Tom Bradshaw were strike partners last season. Nothing about quality or workrate or anything else. They WERE strike partners. Either that somebody in a Tom Bradshaw mask played alongside Sam winnall in games I saw
Think the point Redrum is making is that Bradshaw may have been signed with the view to be a replacement for Winnall in the long term - Regardless if they played together. Whether thats correct or not - who knows... Edit: Was another poster not Redrum.
But that is purely a guess and an assumption based frankly on absolutely nothing but a 'feeling'. The cold hard fact is that they played together as a partnership. The facts suggest that he wasn't a replacement but was a partner, pure guesswork and an attempt at mind reading is all those who say he is his replacement have to justify their claims. Although if we were to say that Bradshaw is winnalls replacement then surely the same argument applies in that we have failed to bring in ANY replacement for Bradshaw since January.
Agreed its pure speculation. Was only interpreting what I believed another poster was saying - and isn't necessarily my view. It could be said that Ugbo is Bradshaws 'replacement' - but again pure speculation. Theres still another month of the window - we all just have to sit tight and hope we bring someone in with quality before then.
Come on, Bradshaw was clearly brought in last summer in preparation to replace Winnall when he'd eventually leave. Just like Moncur was brought in to replace Hourihane. I'm hoping this season that Bradshaw, with a fellow striker next to him, can produce the goals.
