That was very worrying. Our lads wa trying but they couldn't come close to their side. We got outclassed in every department.
Not good at all. Quite concerned after hearing that especially as Hammill missed a penalty and Bradshaw sounds to have missed two relatively easy chances. Also worrying to hear Rob Staton say we didn't seem determined enough to shut up shop after we conceded the third and that Ryan Williams sounded as though he played well when he came on. We might live to regret letting him go.! Only consolation is that the self proclaimed " Barcelona" of the North ( Doncaster ) lost 4-0 at Chesterfield. At least my family won't be ringing up from Donny to extract the urine.
Are people pretending that our players weren't trying today, that we let them score four unanswered goals or that we would've bagged our chances next Saturday? We were atrocious from start to finish. We didn't duck out of challenges or jog around, we were just incredibly poor.
Im still trying (and struggling) to believe that as well, but this has still been a big kick in the teeth today. No this doesnt make Ryan Williams a world beater all of a sudden and I dont regret us getting rid of him. And if hes raised his game just to prove a point to us today, then it shows clearly why we were right to get rid of him. Id also like to know who should become our new regular penalty taker if its not going to be Hammill's job ?
