If you are meaning Hecky's position, I'm expecting a parting of the ways in the next few days. You can't mouth off about your employers like that. He also clearly doesn't fully support the blueprint.
I'm sad to say I'm thinking that way as well. We all say things in the heat of the moment and he's true Yorkshireman in that he speaks his mind. However in this case he could live to regret it. Let's hope the powers that be recognise it as indisputable proof that he cares deeply about the Club and he can move on with what he's set out to achieve.
Live to regret it? Get a better offer from a club that actually supports him and doesn't constantly pull the rug from beneath his feet every 6 months more like while we get inevitably hammered week on week. Having watched us yesterday we are a much worse team than the one that had relegation form in the second half of last season. Hecky is the only positive at the club those higher up have asset stripped us for all we're worth and half on here are patting them on the back for it. Best of luck hecky at a club that actually treats you with respect.
Let's fu_cing hope Morris,Pat ,Leach ,And gauthane or whatever is name is LISTEN TO THE ,NOW THIS IS WHERE IT GETS SCARY IM NOT GOING TO DELETE FOUL LANGUAGE ,SUPPORT ******* HECKY YOU BLITHERING IDIOTS OR YOU ARE GOING TO SET US BACK TEN YEARS.
I don't get why people keep making such a big fuss about it. People going on and on about it and making more and more messages isn't going to help is it? Had everyone just ignored it, it might have been swept under the carpet, instead it now looks like a major thing that's got everyone on edge. The hysteria around it all is way more likely to do damage than the interview itself.
For once I agree with you - in respect that I think Barnsley fans will rightly be absolutely furious. It'd also be the worst possible time of the year to part with a manager - host of new players that joined because of him, just about to start a tough season. Hecky and his coaching qualities are part of the reason we've fetched in these transfer fees, and he needs to be supported more. He's clearly one of the best we've had and if the board let him go because he's mouthed off about promises they've broken, the fanbase will be in uproar. I just can't see us sacking him regardless of the comments because of how it'll alienate the supporters who love him.
You're getting the word ...... Untenable!!!??? I'm getting 7 words ....... 'what a silly inflammatory thing to say' !!!!!!!!
Totally disagree. No one will give a frig what is said on here. What matters is the "club" reaction to it.
I'm afraid the board deserve a lot of criticism and am not surprised Hecky's finally unbitten his lip. I exempt Patrick of course as he sadly has bigger things on his mind, but the lack of CEO all that time and the supposed failure to do what was discussed/promised at the end of the season is very disappointing after all Hecky has done for the club.
Journo, I think Patrick was included in the criticism yesterday. Unless I misunderstand and you're just exempting him from your criticism.
Can we know who he meant exactly? Maybe I missed something. I'd have thought Patrick had delegated everything to others (i.e. Maurice). I'm exempting him either way yes as I'm not going to criticise someone so ill.
I can see the difficulty both sides are having. The club are struggling to get targets over the line due to availability and affordability; Hecky is frustrated as he hasn't been given enough players to work with yet. The transfer market and football finances in general are crazy.
I'd have assumed Patrick would still have been involved in the March/April discussions. Not getting involved in it along your lines too.
