One year from the end of his contract with Dijon, Mamadou Thiam (22 years) could take the direction of Barnsley (D2 ANG). DFCO, hoping to recover around 1 M € in case of transfer of the Senegalese striker, could also see Jérémie Bela (24, 2018). The Dijon offensive midfielder, who according to the regional daily Le Bien public refused an offer from Valenciennes, has tracks in Turkish and Spanish Ligue 2.
It should be translated as "is rumoured to be leaving" or "is said to go". It's the way they translate news that hasn't been confirmed yet. For example if they're reporting on a court case and someone is said to have committed a crime they'd use a similar expression. They're just saying there are reports of a transfer but it's not definite yet.
Don't know anything about this kid but we definitely need to be in the seven figure market for a striker, putting our faith in someone at 100 grand who has a good record in a pub league just isn't going to work.
Just reading the fans board - it seems that other Championship clubs were looking at him earlier this year (Fulham, Forest, QPR, Norwich) and he was out on loan last year at Claremont in the French 2nd Division. A couple of comments that he lacks consistency but they felt he should be given a chance this year in the French 1st division. Seems as though he came through their academy.
Then - eeerrhhhm Shouldn't we wait? I hope it's not a bit of a smoke bomb that's been lobbed into the mix by Canny Ganaye to deflect from Heckys comments over the weekend. Yes that's right ......you heard it .....'a lobbed smoke bomb'
Eyup Orsen. Not much theer to translate, owd lad. All it says is that he's 22, Senegalese, in last year of contract, he's an attacking midfielder (although his record seems to suggest that he's ok up front), has turned down a move to Valenciennes, has spent time in the Turkish and Spanish second divisions and they are looking to get about 1 Million Euros for him.
Must say he looks good against the opposition he was up against. He's represented Senegal at Under 20's level. Their Senior team are very good and have star men like Sadio Mane ( Liverpool) in their ranks. They were favourites for the African Cup of Nations but went out on penalties to Cameroon in the Quarter-final this year. I'm sure our backroom team have thought about it but if he is ever capped at full International level, we might be without him through January and depending on how Senegal fare, some of February, so we would need to plan for quality cover to accommodate his absence each season , that is of course we sign him and he is not poached by the usual parasitical predators who are not good enough to spot their own talent.
Been on the radar for weeks. I like others have mentioned " Senegalese" striker in previous postings some time ago.
Remember the one Redders scored at home to Swindon in our promotion year. He hit it from miles out and I think the keeper just never saw it because from the Ponte, you could barely see past the half way line.
Absolute waste of time that match. I have no idea how it was ever allowed to go ahead, and it should certainly have been abandoned at half time. The second half especially was a total farce.
