Everything's fine. About to start a season in the second tier with the weakest squad I can remember at this level but there's nothing to be worried about,
Davies McCarthy, Gus, Pinnock, Yids Hammill, Williams, Moncur, Mowatt Payne & Ugbo Subs: Townsend, Jackson, D'almeda, Mcgheean, Mallan, Hedges, Bradshaw, Brown Hopefully a few late additions to add.
8 subs Johnny ? Lol. Think swap Pinnock with Jackson and Bradshaw with Payne. Don't think Brown will make the 18.
Time for Pinnock to step up immediately then? He should take inspiration from playing at Ashton Gate seeing as he came from just up the road at Forest Green. All his mates and family might be there to cheer him on. If we've paid some serious money for him then he should be good enough to cope. It's no bigger a step up than that achieved by MacDonald last season.
Probably be on the bench but I haven't seen anything as yet from him that he'll be a dominating aerial presence. As you say hopefully he can raise his game.
Davies McCarthy Jackson Gus Yiadom Mallan Williams Moncur Hammill Bradshaw Ugbo The team I think will start.
Wingers won't be that effective Saturday - didn't I read somewhere that the dwarf has had the pitch brought in a few feet at Ashton gate to 'suit how they play'? If it's a narrow pitch, using mowatt out wide wouldn't be an issue
Not now james, we're busy. Little pop will eat itself reference there. Please regale us again about our lack or transfers.
I reported that about the pitch earlier in the week. That's why I said I preferred two up front. Johnson says the way they will play will give them a 0.1% advantage every game.! Presumably he's not proposing to go wide but squeeze play into the middle of the park. If we can get McGeehan fit, sign Potts and line them up with Moncur and Mallan, we could end up with one of the strongest midfields in the division.!
