that's reyt.....look on the bright side. we have a cover now for Yiadom and we stand to make a lot of money on his transfer too. Decent business is that IMHO
Yeah we will see. Hopefully Yiadom will give us one last good game tomorrow much like Hourihane did against Leeds
Think we all accept that Yiadom's as good as gone. So welcome, Young Matthew. Don't be disheartened when we lose at Bristol, we always do, and our opening match. A warm welcome awaits you Tuesday though.
I reckon Yids will go towards the end of the window, Swansea and Hudds will want to see how they start the season so I reckon it will be around the Sunderland game when he leaves.
i don't see it as good as gone at all. May be wrong but just going on the radio sheff interview with Hecky. Hecky wants him to stay, and he has indicated that he wants to run down his contract as he will command higher wages if the club don't have a fee to pay. He will go if it's the right fee for us and for him. Any less than £3m he'll be here until January at least.
I hope you're right. But if there's an offer or two on the table, that makes him a saleable asset on which the club likely will cash in on. I'm not being all depressed about it as that's just the way the clue is run. Anyhow, this new lad actually comes with a better pedigree than Yids did so could be a smooth transition and a healthy profit to be had.
That's the way I see it. He's not thrown his toys out of the prank, he's just getting on with it. That's not to say he won't have his price. We just have to make sure it's a good one.
I think Matty Pearson is a good signing. Jamie and Hecky should be able to improve his game being former full-backs themselves. When everybody is available, it looks as though we will have some height and power in the team which is never a bad thing. Regarding Yids, as much as I like him as a player, if he does stay , by playing him every week would we be preventing one of our permanent players from gaining valuable game time.? Also it's quite clear he's seeking pastures new. Is it therefore wise to have an unsettled player in the squad irrespective of his apparent willingness to see out his final year and leave for nothing at the end of the season.?
