Would have been perfect for this team if we could get him again from 10 years ago. Experienced head at the back would have done wonders
Even the best laid plans can be tweaked accordingly. If the board aren't willing or able to see that some experience will not only help the club short term, but help develop the "plan players" quicker, then I would be surprised & disappointed.
The same Darren Moore that was slated by our fans And the same Darren Moore I was abused on here for defending
I know the original poster makes a valid point, but it's one that won't be held with much regard on here
We got Darren Moore just a year or two too late in my opinion. He was a great leader, on and off the pitch and I liked him in the side. He was just that bit too slow to be part of an already struggling side. His lack of movement was exploited more than it should have been given we were on the back foot almost every game. That then became a bit of a joke to some fans who saw him as too old, despite many supporters loving his personality and experience. People may laugh at this but I thought Marc Roberts had a similar influence to our side. He dominated in the air, was strong, was the captain, seemingly grew into a more vocal presence, encouraged others. More is the pity we sold him.
