As Reds fan? They don't have to have played in the same team and you can pick as many as you like - left or right. I think I will say Eaden and Barnard. Bit obvious I suppose.
all the above mentioned pretty much honourable mention to Spud Murphy for appearance record & loyal service to the club
Eaden and Barnard were both absolute class. Slightly further back Beresford and Robinson were also pretty handy. John Curtis was very good. Neil Thompson made a pretty telling contribution in his short time with us. Gary Fleming and Darren Sheridan never let us down when played at full back. We've had some real quality in those positions over the years.
Eaden and Barnard probably the most gifted. John Curtis was class for the period in 2000. I enjoyed watching Keiran Trippier and Ryan McClaughlin, whilst Shotton and Stones looked a class above, but perhaps more suited to centre back.
All left backs for me - Beresford, Barnard, Thompson. Obviously the Right Hon Lord Bobinho on the other side.
Neil Thomson, John Beresford, Paul Cross, Stuart Gray, Nick Eaden, Joe Joyce, Darren Barnard, Gary Fleming.
Nicky Eaden. I also liked Stuart Gray at FB, although he played a number of positions for us. John Curtis was class in 99/00, he always knew what he was going to do with the ball before he even received it.
Joe Joyce, Darren Bernard, Gary Fleming, Paul Cross, Glynn Snodin, Scott Jones, Neil Thompson, Neil Austin and a lad with a white flash in his hair. Think his name was Paul Heckingbottom.?
How could I forget Thompson?! A player we wouldn't even consider today who was instrumental in getting us promoted.
