I'm talking about the u18's Redstar. for quaility of football that team was silly to watch. 20 goal passing moves seemed normal
And presumably some/most of them not being good enough for league football when it came to it. There's nothing unusual in that, it happens everywhere l, every year.
Not being funny, but from.someone who banged on continually about James Bree, and is now insisting that an untried J Brown be picked, it sounds a bit rich.
That's false. I'm someone that only ever wants better for the team. If that's individual changes to achieve that then I'll say. If that's calling out bs tactics like at Ashton gate I'll call that.
Coming in to this thread late and ignoring the possible subtext. In every team Barnsley have put out that I have enjoyed watching there are players I have been attached to to take extreme examples Ronnie Glavin, Neil Redfern and more recently Conor Hourihane are players to which fans form an attachment, they are the players you go to watch knowing that they can turn a game and are fully committed to trying to win for Barnsley. When they move on they leave a void that can take a while to fill. But to see them is one of the reasons most supporters enjoy going, There are other players which gain a following amongst the fans. in recent years Bobby Hassell and Adam Hammill spring to mind of course as we get attached to players who appear to have an affinity for our club as well. These are different to the merely good players who we need - when Players like Alfie Mawson and Marley Watkins moved on I was disappointed that we lost a good player but wasnt attached to them the same way as the 5 mentioned above. Some other fans will disagree and will have an attachment to Watkins Mawson or other players I never felt attached to. Now going back to the original subtext Andy Yiadom is a good player - we are a better side with him in than without him - especially as we also lost Mark Roberts. The club clearly thinks so too which is why they tried to keep him, but for me he isn't a player I am attached to - Id like him to stay because I think we will struggle to find a replacement this month but if he goes I will miss him like I miss Watkins and Scowen which is completely different to the way I miss Hourihane
