Seriously! Villa are a bigger club and there is no doubt that in the long term they will spend more time in the Premier League than Huddersfield, but if I was given a choice between Huddersfield - with a full season of Prem football ahead of them and a chance of more, and Villa who have at least 1 season and quite possibly more in the lower leagues I know which I would sign for. Also Newcastle were always likely to go up last season as they basically kept the prem setup. Villa may go up this year but its by no means certain and Bree and Hourihane are now looking at a second season of championship football. They would have been better at Bournemouth or Swansea
There's an interesting article in the Huddersfield examiner comparing the 2 players, the gist of which it appears to have been a difficult decision as to who to sign. Cavare is apparently returning after a knee injury and this may have affected Wagers decision. Sorry I'm new to the board and don't know how to post links
Huddersfield fans say this lad is a real mixed bag. Outstanding against us and an utter calamity against Udinese. Which means he fits our profile completely. Welcome aboard lad.
Hasn't Hemmsy got a bit 'attached' on the basis of one meaningless encounter with Monsieur Cavare? Personally, I'd hope that the next full-back into the club is an experienced left-footed, left-back.
Town were still mulling over giving him a contract as recent as yesterday, so until that happens he's still registered with Rennes. As you rightly say BMW I can't see us paying £1.8 million for him. Credit where it's due, he can head a ball. Scored a great header in a clip I've found on the net. Unfortunately it was at the wrong end.!
