Let's not forget Nile Ranger. How can we forget Nile Ranger. The best loan signings are those that we have the potential to sign. O'Grady, Da Silva, Steele, Isgrove, Morsy though we didn't). Percentage of kids that work is very low.
Huddersfield did okay last season with plenty of loans none of which they would have had a chance of keeping if they hadn't have got promoted. Burton signed two loans in the January window who helped them stay in the division they signed neither loans aren't pointless.
And what about all the **** we've signed on permanent 1,2 and 3 year deals? They're much more financially damaging and my list would be much longer than yours. Our permanent and loan recruitment has been much more successful recently you cant just single out loans to prove your argument. If loan will improve team performance then get them in. I'll tell you something without the loans I listed above the likes of Hourihane, Mawson and Bree would have been worse **** all. Lucky to get £2 million for the 3 of them stuck in League One/Two.
I think Ben Pearson & to some extent Armstong did all right. What would fans opinions of the club have been if we signed that list of players for fees & given them all 2/3 year contracts. To me, it doesn"t matter which way the club do it, they always get criticised
Describe how Callum Elder improved team performances or indeed Matty James how many games did the team win with him it? I am not glad that we no longer get to watch Conor and James. You may well be. That's your choice.
What you've just said has no significance to anything. Loans or permanents some are good and some are bad. The fact is now that Premier League clubs hoard young players on 5 year deals now so the ones that used to filter down on transfer you know have to loan. Or have £5 million + to spend. Or wait 2-3 seasons until there contract expires and pick up 24 year olds who haven't played 50 games.
Do you think 6 goals including a penalty in 30 odd games is a good return for a centre forward? Pearson not for me. His replacement Brownhill (another loan) now he's a tidy player. Scout players you have the opportunity to sign if necessary arrange a short term loan to evaluate them properly then sign /reject. I didn't even play the Brek Shea ******** Bingo card.
I have never seen you say anything of any significance to be fair. You like the loan system I don't. Let's leave it at that. You think it benefits us. In reality It rarely does and prevents the development of our own players. We end up signing the 24 year olds who have rarely played anyway. isgrove, and Freyers to name but two. Anyway back to ignoring your inane drivel.
I've never been in a position to run a football club so it's difficult for me to comment when I've know idea what's going on behind the scenes but if Hecky and his team are quite happy to top up our squad with good loan players then that fine by me, of course I'd love us not to have to rely on them but unfortunately we're not in a financial position to do that, it would be interesting to see the percentage of loans other clubs are using in the championship
The thing is all our loans are season long which I think is a good thing it's the one's for a month that I don't care for. We know we can't compete with most teams in this league so we have to utilise the market, if it keeps us in the championship it's fine by me
All this about loans is hilarious we've got £1 million plus permanent striker coming in cheer up abit
This Yiadom thing isn't helping. I wouldn't be surprised to see the deals postponed until Monday. Yids will go, but I'm not sure if it will happen today now.
