It's an omen I tell thi - an omen !!! We are going to let in a flood of goals. OMG !!!!!! 0-8 to Ipswich OMG !!!!!
Dad's just gone into town. He said he didn't get quite as far as the Lite Spot on Ponte Rd so turned left towards Kendray which was terrible traffic so he turned around and went through Monk Bretton which was fine. Parked in Multistory which is free on weekends.
I come from that direction. Assume it means back up towards the pit and left back onto grange lane and over Cundy cross to monk bretton
No idea, my dad was in his field day cos he loves talking about roads and I never normally let him whereas this time I specifically asked without really knowing where he meant. He said road towards Kendray, it's probably not actually called Kendray Road.
Can anyone advise whether the club car parks will be accessible or do I need to find somewhere else to park today?
Yes you can. From the town centre you can get as far as riding for the disabled but no further. From Cundy cross you can get as far as the industrial estate with tykes racing and Travis Perkins on it (near the speed camera)
@Sheriff From Club site: Access to East Stand car park is closed via Beaver Court. Access to the East Stand car park is restricted ahead of today's clash with Ipswich Town. ENTRY All entrance to the Club car park today will be via the South Stand Gate, due to earlier road closures restricting access to Beaver Court. EXIT Those parking in the East Stand car park will be able to exit via Beaver Court, but ONLY TURN RIGHT. When exiting the ground via the South Stand car park, there will be NO LEFT TURN on to Pontefract Road. With the aforementioned road closure, fans are advised to allow extra time onto their journey.
It burst early this am. I was parking my car for a quick getaway and hubby was with me in his car. On way home we went via Pontefract Road and it was gushing out. Had to slow right down as it was like a river. I posted straightaway on here as I could see them it would cause absolute chaos.
They are going to have to make the following announcement one of these days... Warning: A water pipe hasn't burst today on Ponty Road, and there are no road works or hold ups. Apologies for the inconvenience that this hasn't actually caused anybody, and we are doing our best to fix it as soon as possible. (or words to that effect anyway! lol)
