Wonder which wally picked the pantone for the west stand paint and corrugated sheets. More blackpool than barnsley. Mind, our barnsley player was like that last season
I quite like the many shades of red... It's Oakwell. It's mint. It's ours. If things are as bleak as some (a proper minority) keep telling us, then chuff knows how bad a lot of the 30 years I've been a Red were. Bliss is this compared to all but about three or four years. Even then, it's not far behind. Folk were spoiled recently. Imagine being a Man Utd fan, where you moan because you've pocketed three trophies but not won the league. **** that *****. Losing to Ipswich is us. When they've had two shots on goal and we've massacred them in between. Can't wait for Tuesday. Up the slightly orangey Reds.
I'm sorry Whitey but the West Stand is a shithole. There's a seat near us that's got a 2 foot plant growing under it, the paint on the walls inside the stadium is peeling off there's no difference to last year. I'm sorry but relaying the pitches isn't 'ground improvement'
Is it true that the men's bog in the West Stand has a sink and hand drier actually over the urinal meaning that you can have a pee while washing and drying your hands at the same time?
There isn't even a sink in the West Stand bogs at the Ponte side. Well I tell a lie, there is one but it's in the toilet cubicle so if someone's in there you're not washing your hands. I do love the West Stand bogs to be fair but it is bizarre that a Championship club turning over millions has toilets in such a state with no facility to wash your hands
I was told at half time that they have stopped doing Chicken Balti pies. Utter outrage! Also they had sold out of hot food pretty much at the start of half time. My bottle of carling was nice and cold though.
I was under the impression that we had not invested anything on players this season. Taking into account income received from transfer fees I had believed this to be 'self financed' and our net spend to be about zero. I'm probably wrong though as I can't be arsed to add it up.
What work has been done which means the West Lower (North) can be used again? The gable ends only closed a block at each end of the West Upper.
Of that value would we guess that around £3 million has gone on five players who have either not featured or played regularly for us yet.? If Thiam, McGeehan and Lindsay live up to their early promise and we can get Mallan and Pinnock playing something like and with probably four more still be added to what we've already got, we should have enough to stay in the Championship.
Why, upto last week's business we had spent £4.5m and that can. E from a source within. The club so we won't be far away
