Totally agree with that very sensible position. Be good for all involved, if something could be resolved quickly, so we can all move on.
Hecky can't say fairer than that, and I fully back that stance. If this injury has scuppered his move everywhere, then I hope he is man enough to apologise for his actions (probably instigated by his agent, I'd guess) and work his crackers off to get back into contention. He should think long and hard about refusing that contract too.
Yes - Hopefully we can get the transfer done and bring in his replacement - someone who actually wants to be here! If it all falls through it will be a bit awkward to say the least
I think we should shoot him for displaying petulance.. .. and wanting to play in the premier league... and wanting to be paid upto ten times his current salary. (Insert standard non -PC disclaimer. I don't really want him shot)
A bit of a "Marley Watkins" isn't it. Was ok, then wasn't, then was, then gone. Could have been awkward for him but he did his bit to get the fans back on his side.
surely we have to take that into account in our contract offer too now? if there is a problem that could manifest then we are taking a risk payig him top dollar. we cant afford to have that as dead money.
To be honest if he doesn't move now we should let him see out his contract and move on a free. If we aren't good enough to sign a contract now so we shouldn't be his fall back position now things have fallen apart for him.
Nixon reckons its off completely and has been since Friday. Reckons Hecky was being "coy" IE telling porkies about the deal being up in the air. Kid on twitter asked if he was punishing Yiadom by not playing him and apparently there's an injury problem. Very weird that Hecky would keep it all hush hush and secret. Don't know what to make of it, myself.
I honestly don't really understand why we're bothered about Andy Yiadom, as he's clearly no longer bothered about us. We need to move him on as quickly as possible in my opinion. With Hecky saying things will be clearer by Thursday , probably indicates there might be something happening one way or the other and we'll know what that is by then.
Because he's a good player, someone who could be a real asset to us this season if his head is in the game.
Disagree that Yiadoms not bothered about us,he just wants to play in the premier league on higher wages.Whats wrong with that ? !
Nothing wrong with that at all, but there's a right and wrong way of going about it and in my view by giving the interview he did, he chose the wrong option.
The lad made a mistake, albeit a big one, but it's how he reacts to this new situation that counts for me. I for one would certainly forgive him if he genuinely showed regret, and Hecky forgave him. He isn't the first to do such a thing, he certainly won't be the last.
