Wouldn't say no to that. Captain at Blackburn last year. Older head in midfield. Experience in a very young squad.
http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/spo...news/west-brom-analysis-how-trialist-13328260 been on trial at WBA. Think he'd be the one i'd hope Barnsley sign for sure if it's possible.
I thought Williams did a good job of sitting in front of the back 4 in the first half on Saturday. Not much in the second half though.
sell him in two and he's very much valuable. If he's having trials at WBA a prem club might take a really good year.
Give him 2 year deal then and let him help us consolidate our Championship status and bring on the younger players. Surely that should be very much part of the plan !! I sense the need for experience is now hitting home and this lad sounds like he would be ideal, played not far off 200 games at this level and above.
I would sign him and it wouldn't matter to me if he left on a free at the end the contract, as long as he dos a job while he's here.
very experienced in the championship level, could be a very good addition.... so that's why we will not sign him.
Asked my Rovers supporting mate why he left them... "Cos he's *****! Workhorse though who might be good in a better team" I've liked him personally when I've seen him and we could do with a couple of workhorses who'll put a tackle in at the moment rather than lads with all the ability in the world who don't wanna fluff up their topknot...
