42 games left, we've been in worse positions than this......Let's not forget December 2015. We are in one of the most topsy turvy and competitive leagues in the world. A decent run of form and this will all be forgotten.

It feels worse because we didn't turn up and give any kind of account of ourselves against a local rival, yet it was only 1-0.

Hecky will get into them this week, maybe even tomorrow morning. The lads who started today will have that message rammed down their throats

Unacceptable and inexperienced performance all round but they'll have to learn and improve from this.

42 games left, you don't always get what you deserve in this league like last Saturday but over 46 game you do.

Let's keep the faith, we've still got players to come into this team who will improve us.

It feels worse because we are in this position due to selling g our best players when we didn't need to.

Mmm... but we could have got some decent replacements.

it seems as though we've gone for quantity rather than quality.

    Perhaps it'll all come good.

We're the architects of our own downfall. That's the bit that frustrates me the most.

In the case of Brad Potts I would hazard a guess that if they can't improve us then they're in the wrong profession....

In the last 18 months we have received around £18 million for players, we have received an extra £6 million for being in the Championship last season, we got a 4,000 increase on average crowds too

We have hardly spent a penny

We've just seen the result of that policy

    Relegation written all over it

McGeehan, Izzy,Cavare, Thiam, Lindsey. Izzy is a worker, he defends from the front and shows no fear somthing that was missing today. Thiam only just arrived but speed kills in this division, Cavare is a big athletic unit so could thrive in this division and there's still time left to sign some experience.

We will be alright. Can see that we are a different team at home and that's due to the inexperience. I think thiam looks like he could be special in this league based on small sample size today. Isgrove and hammill starting wingers for me when healthy. Hedges and Barnes as impact subs.

Midfield is what needs to be sorted- need to find the right combination of moncur, Potts, mcgeehan, mallan, mowatt, Williams. Has to be a decent one in there somewhere.

Think yiadom needs to be starting on the left too if his head is back.

It's gonna be a rollercoaster season let's not panic. We've got 3 points on the board and more will come, especially at home

There is a decent one in that lot... Potts height, Moncur long range shooting, Mallan free kick, Williams workrate, and Mowatt can drive them all to the game. Trouble is none of them on their own are championship quality (yet).

I hope we address that this week. A quality central midfielder, to win the ball and dictate play, would give our chances of winning a game a significant boost. If they are captain material as well that would be splendid.

Been saying it all along. Need experience in the middle of the park. Long would do a job. Maybe a holding midfielder too on loan with championship experience. It would steady the ship. I'm actually less negative now about our chances than at the start of the season as I can see the potential in most of the new signings. We just are crying out for more leadership. Davies and Hammill are doing their best but we need a spine to the team.

Is Butterfield getting any game time these days? 6 month loan until team find their feet. Not saying sign him but someone of the same mold.
Wonder if GG's got any French irons in the fire. Hecky said most Ligue 1 and 2 teams play 4-3-3 so would expect each team would have defensive midfields who link front to back in them.

I think it's too early to comment.

Where are Ray McHale and Ian Evans when you need them?

Long is no better than what we've got. He is a 'bit' player at Burnley, and spent the rest of the time on loan to Leahue 1 and 2,sides. However I agree we need an experienced defender until Lindsay comes of age, so to speak.

Burnley gave him a new 3 year contract, so they must rate him.

It'll be a long hard season. Today's result has no bearing of that. We have had the heart ripped out of the team and replaced it with a lot of 'ifs ands and maybes'.
