Yes I agree but I also think if barnsley got back into the premiership you could put 10k on the size of the ground and it would be filled. It was filled the last time we were there. People forget we are a relatively big town for the South Yorkshire area.
Success breeds success imho. The reason Barnsley struggle to attract a bigger regular fan base than about 12k is solely down to this small club mentality of doing things on the cheap and always selling anyone who can play a bit, hence never really moving forward and therefore never being in a position to compete.
If people see success and ambition at oakwell then they will fill it.

    This threads mental.
A takeovers been mentioned and some are planning their optimum seats for when are in the premiership and there's concern over ffp because we'll spend too much.
It's a bit too Wednesday for my liking.
As for being like qpr, aren't they nearly £200 million in debt with owners getting more frustrated by the year and with as much chance of even making the play offs as a 1 legged dog burying a shyt on a frozen pond?

That would be one of the worst places to put it with no train station or motorway for miles. Can you imagine over 20,000 trying to get there for a night match. Plus that area must be prone to mining subsidence. There's lots of spare land round there for a reason.

I think we'll stay at Oakwell. The ground is 75% modern and well located for access. A new west stand would only take a season to build and we could build in the corner of the Ponty and West Stand first to relocate those currently living the dream there. But all that is for some future utopia back in the Premiership.

I was joking - that location would be closer to where I live that's all.

They won't move I don't think, like I said in the post.
