I was unable to go again at the weekend, I know as the whole the performance was pretty poor from what I read, but interested to know how Thiam got on in his brief cameo. I know he only played just over 10 minutes but did he show anything promising at all?
Didn't put a foot wrong. Showed for the ball often and when he received he found a good pass or worked into a shooting position. Unfortunately his best effort was blocked after a neat turn on the edge of the area
Definitely looks like he's got some nous on the ball. Couple of nice stepovers on show as well as he looked to take on one of their defenders. While we're on him, as the irritable (not so) old fart that I am, can I ask folk who attend games to pronounce his name reyt. It's tee-am. Not tie-am or even tie-eem as I heard on Saturday. When we're losing 1-0 in a derby, hearing that was enough to raise my blood pressure even more.
Hope you've had the nod from Redarmychris for this exclusive.. trying to muscle in on his territory..
Caused a big accident at Bolton Women's institutes exercise class getting that word wrong. As they were running round room in an orderly circle the instructor said right girls hands on thighs and well you can guess the rest.
He certainly sounds promising, and at 900k I think we're entitled to think he could be a good and important signing. Its been said he could do with losing up to a stone, and it might take time for him to reach full fitness, but surely to get the best out of him Hecky won't be playing 1 up front ?.
We looked the most dangerous on Saturday when we went 3-4-2. All of a sudden the ball was sticking up top. Bradshaw had someone to nod it to when he couldn't hold it up himself. I think the sending offs did us a favour overall. Clarke was having Gus and Jackson on toast every time. In the end all that the red cards accomplished was isolating Sharp for them. Having said that, we still didn't take full advantage at all and didn't even deserve a point. I wouldn't say Thiam looked on the heavy side to be honest. He looked sharp to me.
