Suprised no-ones mentioned the British Built Nissan Qashqai - great cars - ultra reliable - and supporting your fellow British Workers. We had 2 of them and did 100,000 miles and the only bother was one door handle that gave up - but as the wife opens and closes the doors probably a similar number of times per day that you do it had had some hammer. Or if you're looking at Q5 money - the Nissan X trail which is a top motor also the Jaguar FPace - it might have a waiting list - but again it's a top motor built in Britain.
I've still got my classic mini. Totally love it but she hardly gets used and is getting ready for some real work...
Avoid the Sportage. I was turned by the facelift model and jumped into a 3 year lease last September and regretting it. Looks the business, nice ride and dash looks great. But fuel economy, distinct lack of torque and horrendous seats definitely take the shine off. Should've gone for the Qashqai.
What mini is it mate? I had an Austin but I sold it to fund my rover mini cooper s 1.25. My Cooper s took 8 months to build and was my pride and joy! Who needs a go kart when you've got a mini?! The v5c said the shell was British racing green but I had mine sprayed red with the 2 vinyl stripes down the front! She was absolutely stunning, I still regret selling her. The project all in cost me just over 5k and I sold it for 7.5k... you can't build a mini for profit though, not if you're an enthusiast anyway. The lads down thurnscoe have some great minis for sale but the prices do not warrant what you are buying. If anyone is reading and wants an old mini then go and buy a Haynes manual and build you're own. The fun, the learning, the red mist wanting to smash it to pieces and the pure joy of completing it cannot be beaten. Remember, never buy a mini for a profit, as it just doesn't happen. Great cars.
Heard a few say the same mate. Such a shame too as the sportage looks a beautiful car, kia give a decent warranty aswell.
Posh lovely person. 10 year old Punto, 107k on't clock. Shittest car on street, and in works car park. But it nivver breaks down and does 17k a year. Looks beautiful next to the neighbours Range Rover, and it's not been washed since last April.
