Blood registers in Hemsworth are logged on the Buckfast scale Buckfast positive Buckfast negative Pure Buckfast Those with buckfast negative blood were moved to neighbouring villages so not to dilute the population. Famous West Yorkshire inventor and twattish playboy Hector Von Ubend first patented the letters "H" and "C" to be placed on water taps and used Hemsworth first on a trial basis. Hector was renound for being a bit of a prankster and from time to time would place the letters on upside down to cause confusion to the locals.
I had a similar experience at the water park with my son, he kicked off something wicked for only being a sub, apparently he wanted to be a battleship!....I'll get me coit
Fascinating facts chaps, what a fantastic insight and a great post. Having a look on Google it seems that David Walliams and Matt Lucas based themselves in Hemsworth to write Little Britain and from there the characters Andy and Lou were born. And the writer Paul Abbott once went all-inclusive at the Hemsworth Hilton and was inspired to write. He shelved the original pilot in favour of something more up-market, and wrote Shameless instead.
Every August Hemsworth plays host to the Hemsworth International Festival, along with an accompanying Hemsworth Fringe Comedy festival. Judges recently announced the top three jokes from this year's festival: 1) Eyup, worratharlookinat 2) Tharracnut 3) Asthagorranyeee.
The litter's nowt to do with the Council. If folk took a lot more pride in where they live there wouldn't be a litter problem irrespective of whether or not the place was well provided for with bins and whether or not they were emptied on a regular basis.
Took my granddaughter there and i won't be doing it again. Was quite run-down which is a shame because it should really be a prized asset for the town.
Just back from a two day camping trip in Cudworth. The family of six in the two man tent, next to ours, were from Hemsworth. The Dad was telling me that, as he doesn't drive, they'd got the train to East Midlands airport, flown from there to Doncaster where they got collected by a minibus and taken the rest of the way to Cudworth. They even got a kebab special delivered all the way from Hemsworth, to their tent. Money seemed no object. Must be a very affluent area.
