Value is based on the perception of the customer so I wont argue if its good or value for anyone else. But for me I wont pay £20. Compared to some strong cards of boxing at under 20 quid versus a novelty match with a retired boxer and a UFC fighter I don't find it value at all and wont be paying or watching. Its clearly a money orientated fight for both and its a shame that its been embraced as a boxing spectacle. Spectacle yes, but not a real boxing match. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a rematch in 6 months.

I'd pay 20 quid to see them both kill eachother and for all their new found "fans" to stop wanking themselves silly over two of the worst people to have walked the earth

Apart from Cineworld unlimted cards dont even cost £20 per month !

So you see the boxing match you have to pay for sky sports £30 per month and then another £20 for the one event - Even if I was a boxing fan which I am not I wouldnt pay it. As stated above it they get away with it they will start making some of the tastier Prem games box office matches - maybe the final day of the golf majors etc
And yet people complain at the value for money from the BBC which costs 40p per day

I just don't see how McGregor wins. I remember when Hatton fought him and got a hammering after the fight he said if I'd of been in the ring with a box of confetti I couldn't have hit him with that either. And that's a seasoned pro, can't see someone making their pro boxing debut landing many against Floyd, I like his confidence though but I wonder if he he believes his own **** or if he is just trying to hype the fight and sell it abit more.

I agree but saying that the BBC's coverage of the USPGA golf was bloody awful . Sky's golf coverage is superb in comparison .Out of principal I cancelled my Sky tv years ago when they first introduced ppv because its like paying for something twice . I just stream to my phone now .

Had both men been in their prime I would agree.

Mayweather is 40 and hasn't had a competitive match in 2 years.

I get the point, however you dont have to be a sky customer to watch this fight.

It'd be nice if they discounted it for customers though.

Mcgregor has NEVER had a competitive match this is his first. Even at 40 he will be too fast and intelligent. You can't hurt what you can't hit, i can't see anything other than mayweather just picking off punches at will.

McGregor has never had a pro fight he is making his debut. I imagine Floyd will have been "keeping busy" canelo is one of the best pound for pound fighters now and he struggled to win a round against Floyd 2 years ago. I don't know how it's been sanctioned to be honest.

Its been sanctioned for the only reason anything happens in boxing. Money. I just hope mcgregor doesn't end up getting hurt as that would be awful for boxing. If he can take a punch then that could be really bad as he will be on the receiving end of more than a few.
The famous Mikr Tyson quote springs to mind
" everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth”.

No different to buying a season ticket and paying for an FA Cup match.

Get Sky Sports and then have to pay £20 to see two guys hurrying to the advent of dementia. Madness.

Is there just me that thinks McGregor's in danger of coming home in a coffin or brain damaged ?

Not a boxing or MMA fan but the physical requirements of both are too different surely ? Mayweather will just dance round him for 3 rounds then batter him ?

I'm worried about it. I hopeful his corner will pull him out if starts to get silly. And i say i dont care for either guy but it could be very damaging to boxing if he does get hurt.

I don't think it is sanctioned as such. Certainly not under control of any Boxing Board

It has been sanctioned by the nevada athletic commission who sanction all fights in las vegas. They of course have strenuously denied money had any bearing on that decision.

Wouldn't give a penny for it myself. You'd have to pay me to watch boxing.
