still unassigned.... would be a great signing, exactly what we need.

    Perhaps we can dream soon!

Exactly the kind of player that we don't need.

Call me crazy but I think our defence is fairly good, it's the midfield that protects our defence that lets us down as we've seen all season so far.

If we manage to get a strong defensive midfielder then I think we will be fine. What a mistake it was not giving Josh Scowen what he asked for! Which wasn't much at all.

Agreed. How much did he want and what did we offer?

You are crazy ! Feel better now ?

The defence are weak , they cannot tackle, or mark a man, but you are correct about the midfield too ! Weak as kittens all the defensive unit !

    Nooooooo.

He'll accidentally tweet a photo of his huge mansion or eye-watering bank balance when we've just had about eight goals put past us.

True about the mid-field.. but our defence is too weak to keep us in this league...

I agree to an extent but we've looked noticeably slacker at the back this season. Some of the marking and tracking (or lack of) in the 3 games I've seen this season has been criminal, especially vs Forest and dem Blades.

We do definitely need a strong defensive mid though.

    You're crazy...!!

Defensively we have been poor - yes the midfield has not helped at times but individual errors from centre back and full back positions have led directly to goals.

I feel we need a better and more experienced leader at the back to call them through the game. I'm not so sure Joleon Lescott is that player - I imagine wages would be a huge barrier - but someone with an old head, a few hundred appearances and a bit of nous would help

I mentioned him a week or so ago as someone with experience who would be good training with our defence. I doubt he is in our price range, and not sure about his long term fitness, but he is one of the most experienced English defenders out there.

Haha I opened myself right up for the crazy comments. I don't rate Angus, I feel robbo made him look better than he was. I really like the look of Pinnock though, and to his credit Jacko has looked decent at times.

We've also got Lindsay to come back into the fold, I assume he was our like for like replacement for Robbo. I'm 100% confident in the lads at the back, the issue is trying to find who our best partnership will be. If like to see us start Pinnock and Lindsay together in the club and see how they get on.

Too much pressure on that back 4, and that pressure comes from the lads infront of them unfortunately. I feel our defence doesn't trust the midfield and I don't blame them one bit. Our midfield is Too static, they don't track back quick enough.

Josh Scowen was never a strong defensive midfielder.

Never. Not in any one game I saw him play in. He didn't play that position.
