Fair enough. But any player with Scowen's energy and determination when out of possession takes pressure off the defence. He presses, harrasses the opposition while they're in possession, and generally makes a nuisance of himself. That in itself slows the opposition, and allows the defence to regroup quicker when at attack has broken down. Josh Scowen was a brilliant player for us. He should have been made captain and highest paid player, provided it sat within our wage structure. Obviously rumours are rumours, but if it's true that what QPR are paying him is not a million miles away from what our top earner gets - well not pushing the boat out to keep him was very stupid. Despite his dad's cringey tweets.

Loved him, great little player and could play in a variety of positions. And yep, rumours are rumours. Good luck to the lad.

    Exactly what we don't need.

Experienced yes but also slow, over paid, over rated and useless. Did you not see this guy play when he was at Sunderland?

I agree we need a few experienced heads in the side but they need to be ones that can still add something to the side, not just signed for the fact they have experience.

He wasn't No, but he did the work of one. He is the complete midfield player and it baffles me as to whybhes ended up at QPR. I can only assume it was to do with location.

Brownhill, Morsy and later James were brought in, to defend, to sit in and get us playing. I wouldn't exactly label them defensive either, but it's that sort of midfielder we require now more than we do a Scowen type. In my opinion of course.

    I wouldn't take Scowen back.

I'd give my left bollock for James back.

Do you not believe Scowen would flourish in the position Joe Williams is playing in? He'd smash that position and make it his own. I wouldn't take Morsy back. James and Brownhill is have back in a heartbeat but I get the feeling we will see James wearing an England shirt within a year.
