Harsh, it's ******* Boll@cks is what it Is, but I agree about him not walking straight back in, lyndsey has taken his chance and looks a cracking prospect and Jackson has started to look steady, big Gus will have to wait his turn, sithi.
He meant if Angus can't get back in the side then good, meaning that someone else has been able to step in which is what it's all about. Not a comment detrimental to Gus. He was stupid at the Lane and he's paying the price now but he's a good lad and will come back stronger. Torquay fans always said he had a lot of the red mist about him. We didn't really see that until last week so give him some slack. He scored the equaliser against the Fowls so deserves support .
How's it harsh saying that you hope AM doesn't get back into the XI? If he doesn't get back into the XI then it means that the likes of Jackson, Lindsey and Pinnock are performing well and that the team are doing well as a result. PH himself said as much in this week's Chronicle.
That's absolutely right but that would be because Jackson no Lindsay are doing well which would be terrific. I like Lindsay, looks composed on the ball, although sometimes tends to overplay (he did an unnecessary ball across our box late on) but huge potential. Jackson isn't a pretty defender but is generally quite effective. Seems a real confidence player though: at the start of the game when we were under the cosh he tried to head it away and it ended up going backwards; 20 minutes later when we were winning he brought the ball out of defence superbly like Mawson did. He's good potential too, although I'd be surprised if he ever were good enough to play at a higher level. It would be nice to have a player who stayed with us for a while who's neither too good to leave, nor not good enough to be got rid of: perhaps Jackson will be that player
Difference between saying that and saying he doesn't get in all season. I hope he doesn't get back in immediately because it would mean Jackson and Lindsay are doing well; but there will undoubtedly be a time when one of those two plays poorly and Angus is needed
