Saw a post at half time saying Potts was playing well and Moncur was anonymouse.

cant find it now but i couldn't believe what i as reading.

Thought moncur put a right shift in today from start to finish. he may not have made lots of tackles but he was constantly pressing and putting the man with ball under pressure, bit like connor used to.

topped off a great performance with a fantastic goal. well done lad

Yeah I saw it and thought the same.

Moncur is real championship quality, and always makes himself available for the ball. A proper "give and go" player.

They all played well today. Nobody's mentioned Williams, he was my MOM.

i said same to daughter today that he was mom. With her 12 years of footy knowledge she agreed but stated he's a bit slow like the rest of the team :)

Yeah, Williams played very well today.

I think they all deserved man of match after such a good team performance.

I agree, I thought everyone did well to be fair. We could do with a natural left back playing but other than that it looked good after the first 20 mins (when it looked like we might get a hammering).

He seems to be getting a bit of stick on here from certain posters and I'm guessing it's because he doesn't "get stuck in". He's good on the ball and like others have mentioned, he is always available and wants the ball.

I think there's a high chance he'll be one of the next players we sell on for profit.

You can't boss an oppositions midfield whist carrying absentees.

It's really that simple at any level.

Agree...close call though between Hammill and Williams...Moncur did graft as did Potts but he ( Potts) was knackered after 75 mins, had we not been in control perhaps Mowatt would have come on for Potts rather than Thiam for Hammill ?

Moncur had a great game for me. I can see the incremental development as he is starting to keep the effort up for 95mins. Started doing simple things consistently well and gets involved with our attacks, rarely missing the target when he shoots. I think he needs to work on his off the ball game. The very same traits as Connor when he first arrived.

Some people just look for the impact moments in games and jump quickly to judge on that. Always good to see the not so flamboyant stuff that people contribute. Potts powering runs perhaps caught the limelight but his break up play in front of the defence and link up from defence to attack were equally good.

I still remember the 'what does Marley contribute to our team' comment when he had more assists at that stage than Connor.
