Bit surprised to see they have Newcastleitis. I thought they might have been a bit more humble watching they ***** they've had to put up with over the past few years. I don't buy into the teams like Barnsley mentality but I'm very happy to see us put clubs like Sunderland in their place.
I thought the atmosphere was quite good. In town before the game, and in the stadium as well. There are always a few on both sides making obscene gestures, but in general it seemed perfectly fine. They were proper adding atmosphere with a lot of singing as well, although that died down a bit after they went down. And while they got fed up with their own team, they never turned against the home supporters. Plenty of applause on either side as well when the attendance was announced. Sensible lot as well, as almost half their supporters seemed to beat the queues after the game!
I've found they're quite bitter on twitter. But then again, twitter is full of bitter people. It's an awful platform.
