Wish we had performed like we did Saturday against them last week. I listened to them all the way home after the game on RS waxing lyrical about their performance against Derby. Also had to put up with Jonathon Buchan talking about how they could look back on this performance as being significant come the end of the season and also asking the question what can this team do in the league. Like they are gunna win it or summat. I have just watched the championship replay on C5. First goal a complete defensive mix up where Sharpe ended up putting ball into empty net Second goal an own goal Third goal Derby sent keeper up for corner in hope of an equalizer and got caught on the break. To me thats incredibly lucky win, not a performance to suggest they will take the league by storm. Wont be listening to RS for a couple of weeks,
Thought exactly the same. Saw the result and thought impressive ... saw the goals and thought you jammy sods... 3 of the softest goals I've ever seen. If you got one of them in a season you'd remember it, but 3!
Fortunately luck runs out and you can't build a season on it, they will find their natural level as will we, I can't stand them but they seem to fight for each other, good spirit, vocal loud support from the terraces, passionate manager which is a good starting point.
It was like a morgue at The Lane when we played them, they only sang when they scored. Their "passionate" Manager is also half blind and dug the knife in against us after the game by telling porkies about the sending off. Keith Edwards who commentates for them on RS is another biased, half blind idiot who, if you ever listen to any of his commentating, needs to be sent to the funny farm asap. Horrible, hateful, immoral club with not one redeeming feature and yes, they will find their level. Totally deluded.
