Marley was never good enough. He was 'ok' but he will struggle in future and will eventually disappear from the football radar. He has risen as high as he will do. He thought he was better than he was and he is replaceable. Simple as
Can't say I agree with that. His versatility meant that he was often slotted into different roles, hence him maybe not appearing to be as "integral" (to quote another poster) to the side as Winnall or Hourihane. But you could say the same for Scowen as well.
