Good. I rate him but we seem to be getting along nicely with the replacements we've brought in, especially on the right flank. Let's capitalise while we can.
I'll be surprised if he's still a Barnsley player on September 1st. To be honest I'm sick of the whole transfer saga so I'll be glad when the window closes. Same goes for McBurnie.
Comment above is taken from the internet, it makes it sound as though our club wants Yiadom moved on and thats what our club does as we have done with others maybe now we do but im sure the club staff and fans would have liked him to stay around, its the player thats wanting out wish they would get their facts right when reporting.
I'm no longer that disappointed if he goes. I'd have Yiadom at left back but I prefer McCarthy on the right. I love watching him & Hammill link up, they already seem to have an understanding like Hammill & White did.
McBurnie came on as a late sub in their game away to Crystal Palace on Saturday. To me , that indicates that unless they can get replacement(s) in within the next 48 hours, he's probably not going to be released. I managed to watch some of Gillette Soccer Saturday which I'd recorded on Sunday morning. Regarding contracts ,Paul Merson said that when he was at Arsenal , players would get concerned if with only 18 months left on their contract they were not offered a deal to keep them at the Club and if they let you get into the last 12 months, it probably meant you were on your way.! On the subject of a player refusing a new contract or opting not to sign a new contract, the verdict of Phil Thompson, Merson, Alan McInally and Charlie Nicholas was absolutely unanimous " a negative influence in the squad, because they don't want to be there- get shut as soon as possible." I've said that all along ,any player who has expressed a wish to play elsewhere is a disruptive influence. I rate Yids and have enjoyed watching him play for us, but sadly, for the harmony of the squad I truly believe he's got to be moved on.
I am suprised by your comment, as Mcburnie has been on ist team duty this season for Swansea this season, it is reasonable to expect he must have something going for him, unless you have seen him. , then please enlighten me to whats wrong with the lad
I grant you he hasn't had many minutes but what I have seen doesn't fill me with much confidence and not sure he is better than what we already have. Time will tell but surely there must be more options
It must be me, I always find it strange why people write young players off without really giving them a chance. All I am saying is, he must have some kind of potential to be in & around a premier league teams is eleven squad, but hey, its all about opinions
