How many goals do we think he will get this season then if the deal did get through. Wi how long it's took and us being so keen on him I'm expectin 40+ but in all seriousNess am saying 5 at most

Honestly don't know why we have waited this long. Should have got a lad in that wanted to be here not the final option should everything else not pan out.

What makes you think the lad doesn"t want to be here ? Maybe , all this delay might be down to his club, I just do not understand why there is so much negativity about the lad , he is contacted to his club & they will decide when he leaves

His conversation with Alan Nixon a few weeks back that he clearly thought was private and was swiftly deleted showed he's not arsed about being at Barnsley and he will exhaust every other option first. Personally think every current striker at the club is above him in the pecking order and would have rather kept Payne in the wings than this prima Donna.

From what I remember he just said "I'll phone you and let you know what's happening" didn't he?

Cos he's still at Swansea after 3 months of apparently agreeing to join us. We should have told them to do one and moved on. I imagine part of this is down to the Yiadom shenanigans.

It's Swansea delaying the move unless I'm missing summat.

The fact that Swansea are still in danger of losing Llorente and are also still chasing strikers themselves on deadline day is the obvious reason he's not arrived as yet. But, hey, lets prefer to slag him off for not wanting to be here before he even signs.

Should be asking how many games will he get. He's behind Mamadou, Super Tom and Ike Ike Ugbo, surely?

Ps with all the meticulous profiling and assessment of character that the club does on prospective players does anyone think we'd be trying to bring someone in who doesn't want to be here?

Think the delay has been due to waiting for club shop to get his size kit in

I totally agree with you , I just hope he does not read this forum because if he did , he could well be put off signing & incidently, I wish critics would understand that its the clubs that do the transfer, not the player

If he does read this forum (which I doubt and he shouldn't anyway as it's not for him) and he doesn't want to come based on a few comments, then I wouldn't want him here as he must have thinner skin than Karen Carpenter.

why should a player not read a forum ? surely , if you were a player , you would be curious as to what fans are thinking & I will repeat what I have said before , I do not understand people who have a go at players they have never ever seen before, you have to trust our managers judgement.

Because regardless of who you are, you know that someone on a football message board will criticise you so you either leave well alone or take it at face value.

Like any unproven youngster coming down from Premiership U23 he could be anything, I think it would be difficult to predict but looks like a big lad who's good in the air - given our current strike force on paper he looks like a logical fit to give us something else we've missed since Win***l left. Depending on his strength and hold up play I for one look forward to seeing him.
