    Following on from merde tete's excellent thread about those who sit near us ........

    What do you do when you are near to or within hearing distance of someone who thinks they're amusing/clever/smart but in fact are boring and annoying because they usually repeat the same thing.
    Or they make completely bonkers comments --

    Either ignore or when the opportunity arises to highlight a contradiction do it in a light-hearted way that will make others around you laugh. Failing that chin him/her (That was a joke by the way)

    Ignore them or give them the teacher's stare ;) If the comments move from boring and annoying to unacceptable (e.g. racist, singling out a fan) then tell them it's unacceptable.
