Spurs offer accepted by Swansea, must put McBurnie deal in dobut. Let's drop this one and look elsewhere.
We should have dropped this hideous saga weeks ago anyone would think he's the best signing in the clubs history.
If they're letting him go they will have a replacement lined up/in mind and I am 100% certain it won't be McBurnie.
I'd like to agree with you as I can't see how he could be considered as Llorente's replacement. However that doesn't explain why the deal has been on hold for so long. The Llorente saga does.
Bony's £128k a week wages are the stumbling block. The problem I have with Man City is that they hoover up any half decent Premier league player, pay them a ridiculous amount of money, never play them, and then spend the next 3 years trying to offload them, which they struggle to do as the player won't take a wage reduction. Bony - 36 apps in 2.5 years Adebayor - 34 apps in 3 years Roque Santa Cruz - 20 apps in 4 years All on over £100k a week, all of them City had trouble shifting.
He's been in and around the first-team squad, because of the injury to Llorente. Now it looks like Bony is going to be Llorente's replacement, so that should limit McBurnie's first-team chances/requirements.
Sky sports reporting Wilfred Bony preferring a loan move to Italy rather than a return to Swansea. Could mean owt or nowt to us?????
