Would you be happy if the takeover was the big news of the day?

Thanks for all you've done Maurice, you've probably done loads but I honestly couldn't list one.( and I'm not trying to be clever)
I live in hope its the start of a new era, sadly our saviour is poorly, I'd sooner have Patrick any day.
Fingers crossed it's a takeover to relieve some pressure on the Cryne Family.

On the flip side to being held to ransom by clubs when buying players, surely new owners would also allow us to attract bigger fees for our best players? Or indeed not even sell them in the first place....Although i think given the size of our club presently the latter is unlikely, i believe we will always have to sell to survive in modern day football...

No I know we won't really! Tbf I'd be very happy to keep with the current poliy but just with more bargaining power for contracts and keeping players

Worried but also optimistic. With Mr Cryne's illness it's the only solution. It is what it is.

My guess would be to increase their assets outside of China. There must be a political and financial reason a bit like tax avoidance in this country. I'm no financial expert but I have read that Chinese investors want to increase their portfolio of football clubs in England. If they make even a small profit they win all round.

Chinese government issue "guidelines" on what they like to see overseas investment in. This is because a lot of Chinese investment is Financed from Chinese banks and so they want to control capital outflows from the country. Football is now in the restricted category, which means there would only be limited funds available from loans, private money I assume would be treated slightly less restrictively. So, really, the question is, how is our new owner, if indeed it does happen, going to fund any money for the club? If its what appears to be the "traditional" route - i.e borrowing cheap money from the Chinese banking system, then its going to be have the hands of the Government all over it, and be restricted.

You just hope that the Chinese govt does have any 'financial issues'.

Mr Lee is Chinese but has been domiciled in the States for the past thirty years and Mr Conway
is a naturalised American so we don't know if there are tenable links to China.
New City Capital looks to be a quality set up and their website lists their assets.
Interesting to see what image they will incorporate for us.?
Be good if one of their first developments could be turning Wentworth Castle into a Luxury hotel
to cater for the Chinese tourists who might want to visit the Town in the future.!
