The Star understands that Swansea City have tabled a fresh bid for want-away defender Andy Yiadom. The Reds rejected a £3million offer for the right-back last month, with Huddersfield Town also interested in the player. Yiadom could leave with Swans' striker Oliver McBurnie coming in the opposite direction. The Scotland Under-21 international is believed to have agreed a season-long loan deal with the Reds. Meanwhile, Aston Villa midfielder Gary Gardner is expected to join the club on a season-long loan deal. Garnder, brother of Birmingham midfielder Craig, has been on loan at Sheffield Wednesday and has represented England from Under-17 to Under-21 levels. The Reds were understood to be interested in signing Fleetwood Town forward Ashley Hunter, but a deal is believed to be dead in the water.
