well I hope the FA ratify this and we can sell him on, I think that would be the best for all concerned.
hope it goes through, clearly he wants to test himself in the higher league so better to get the money now than a lower fee in January
What happens if the papework is too late. Does he stll transfer but have to wait until Jan or is everything void and its as if the deal never took place
On loan until January with a view to a permanent? But in January he'll be worth significantly less than he is now, with only 6 months left on his contract.
Guess it depends on the terms of the deal. BFC could say "Loan until Jan and then £X amount if you decide to go through with it."
The transfer fee will already be agreed between the parties, it'll essentially be a loan with an option to purchase at a pre-determined amount.
That's the worst deal for us. They can loan him. Then pull out. We have lost Yiadom for the year and lose him for free!! We either sell him or keep him. Unless the loan means they HAVE to purchase him. No matter whether he's injured etc
You can reach an agreement so that Swansea have an obligation to buy as opposed to an option to buy - imagine that'll be the case.
Similar situation to what the Sam Morsy deal would've been had we been able to agree personal terms with him. The fee was already agreed. Main difference being Morsy wasn't wanted by Wigan at that time, that changed after his performances with us.
How do you botch a transfer for a player with a broken back? Any money is decent, especially after we had signed his replacement.
