    Hi guys just wondering if anybody on here knew how the guy who overturned his car on the Birdwell Hoyland bypass last night was doing.. Without going in to too much detail, i assisted until the emergency services got there and left. If anybody as any info on his condition would appreciate update. Thanks in advance...hope its good news

    Me and the missus went past at about 11.30 last night, there were still a couple of police vehicles at the scene but nothing to suggest anything especially serious.

    Are you sure you're thinking of the right place/accident? The road was closed off all night (as in it was still closed at 5am) from Hemingfield to platts common. Or it was west bound anyway.

    The accident wasn't at he birdwell roundabout where the roadworks are, it was a few miles further down the road near jump

    Trust me it was very serious. ..I removed what was left of the parcel shelf to see if any one was in it... alive let's say ....it wasn't a pleasant sight to be greeted with but I've seen worse... the car was on its roof .guy trapped .looked more like a sardine tin ...to be honest

    Yeah it was the road towards the M1 that was closed. Going towards Wombwell was reopened at around 11ish.

    Roundabout that leads to Woodwalk Wombwell 1st exit / 3rd exit Hoyland Coming away from M1 Birdwell ...car was on the side heading towards M1 Birdwell....next roundabout on is the Wombwell Station Jump roundabout leading to that long stretch down to Morrisons/ B&Q George to name but a few
