I think the academy should be named after Patrick. His investment has kept it running, I think he'd appreciate that.
Maybe we could move Dickie's to outside Oakwell and put one of Patrick next to it. On a sensible note I suspect Patrick wouldn't want any palava. For now we should probably leave it like that.
Whatever it is - it's got to be significant and something that will stand the test of time. There's been less than a handful of people that have been really important to Barnsley Football Club while I've been watching the club since the mid 1960s - Patrick Cryne is one of those very few. If I was talking to him now I would imagine we would have a reight good argument. But I have total respect for him. In saying that - thinking abart it - I think he is probably a person who shys away from a good owd argument.
Exactly, and as frustrated as I do feel with certain things, I admit he's kept us alive with his own money. Mr. Cryne has given us so much, I won't ever forget that.
What about buying him a barrow ...to help him take his share of the money to the bank from the sale of the club......only joking lol
But you,yet again were unable to provide any evidence for a statement you made Fyi that bit in the middle of your arm is your elbow and you sit on your arse
That's a fair shout. In the times we have had it's been obvious he has put money in to keep the status of the academy as the category it is. When everyone was crying out for first team investment. I'd have no issue with this at all
How do you know that he wouldn't want any? Is he secretly a blancmange and custard man? No doubt Barry will find some pavlova biscuits!
But wasn't it John Dennis that built it from money received from the Craig Hignett sale ??? One thing that CANNOT be done is name anything at the club after him. Basically because- although he kept it running - he didn't actually build it under his stewardship
Lol, can't believe I misspelt it. Cant even blame autocorrect. I do love pavlova. Maybe I was hungry.
