What other fans said/posted about us

Our other mod Esr and the rest of us do this thread regularly during the season on Tykesmad, and its a real eye opener at what other fans think after they have played us. Most of the comments are just pathetic and sheer ignorance, but there are some genuine fans out there as well who do give us credit, sometimes!.
I thought the Preston/Nobbers fans were more like us and much more down to earth, but look at this absolute toss that they have written about us tonight...


Is it me or have Barnsley been time wasting from the the 1st whistle?

Barnsley are the biggest time wasters I've ever witnessed

Barnsley playing for a draw, Tommy Spur probably MOTM. Slow game, centre midfield hardly touched the ball

Preston boring the fans into the grave since 2008 great start against the big teams then can't beat Barnsley at home

And that is why Barnsley will be in a relegation battle. Time wasting with 40 mins of the 2nd half to go. Embarrassing outfit

Have you seen the girl on their medical team ? You can understand why most the players feign injury

Browne Spurr and Maguire all played very well today. Did enough to win it second half. Fair play to Barnsley hung in there.

Not a great performance that. Felt we could have won. Barnsley a horrible lot of time wasters but good at it. Spurr my MOTM

Exactly Watf, and apparently we're a tinpot team as well etc.
Dont these morons remember the recent matches when we've visited Deepdale, and of course they've only become a team once again since coming back to this level in 2000.
We regularly win there but they forget this almost every time.

 

We really should all chip in and get a plane to fly over the stadium of every away day with a banner saying 'teams like Barnsley'

 

Just chip in for the banner, I've got a plane, been on it this morning in fact when I took 1/4 of an inch off bedroom door

 

to be fair the games i've seen this season, the 3 home league games, Davies has been embarrasing with his time wasting, and very lucky not to get booked.

 

Preston North End though......

 

Our players spent most of their time waiting for the ball to drop out of the sky!
Frankly any team playing Wimbledonesque route one football in 2017 deserve nothing.

I found the Preston fans hilarious today. They started booing and whistling at Davies literally (and I mean literally) a few seconds after the ball had gone out for a goal kick from about 60 mins onward, incredulous that he wasn't moving at half the speed of light. I've no idea what they're on about with timewasting, I've seen us timewaste before and we did little to none of that today.

Oh and they booed Gardner when he was injured, and booed all of our subs. A strange, angry set of supporters.

 

Time wasting take it they didn't attend oakwell last season when Grayson parked the bus for 90 mins that was time wasting of the highest order.

 

Lots of crap in there as usual, but the overriding theme seems to be we were time wasting, and when so many people mention it you get the impression we probably were. We see it at Oakwell often enough from the opposition and all become frustrated, but I think we'e just as guilty when we're away from home.

The 'teams like Barnsley' I'm beginning to like. I think we should change our name to that. Teams Like Barnsley 3-0 Sunderland. Preston 1-1 Teams Like Barnsley. Teams Like Barnsley 3-2 Maungy Manc T.wats

 

I have no idea how they can accuse of us of time wasting, at one point Davies picked up the ball and as soon as this happened they all booed, just because their keeper launches the ball up as soon as he gets it doesn't mean that its time wasting when a keeper is looking for a pass, stupid morons.

 

Rightly or wrongly it's pretty much what most teams/keepers do against us. So i can't knock us for playing other teams at their own games.

 

We did timewaste though not excessively so.

 

He he teams like Barnsley. My favourite ever saying. Has been for the last 2 years.

 

If we change it to Teams like Barnsley... that means we'll have to goto T in the alphabetical league table. Im not ready for that sort of long term committment!!.
As for the timewasting, yes fair enough if we're playing poorly or desperately and hanging on, I agree with negative comments. But I wont ever accept the ignorant 'teams like Barnsley' stuff, especially when it comes from Preston's fans because they arent any bigger than us in the current scheme of things.

Thats nothing AP White, compared to some of the bitter shoite we get on there from the so called bigger teams when we play them and beat them. (Norwich & Aston Villa are two examples)
