Sorry pal. I agree with you that Sky and money has ruined our sport but that is not the reason that he turns it on for Spurs and only occasionally for the three lions.

Have to disagree mate.... These days the players who represent England do not seem to give as much effort or seem to have as much pride in wearing the search as they did in the past...and it seems to have happened since Sky and the Premier league came into being. They get soo much money from the club's these days that an England game seems a risk to replaying club level... Take time to watch our other home nation teams.... Those lads go out and sweat blood for theshirt..and you will see players from a lot of the 4 tiers other than the prem . A lot of players who would do great job for England are over looked because of all this.

 

Actually Harry Kane does have a better goalscoring rate for England than what we think.
Whether he plays well during the matches is another matter altogether of course, but goals count and we cant knock Kane's input here.

 

Was around to see the Three Lions lift the cup in '66. From then to now I can count onthe fingers of one hand the players who have not given their all for the cause. In fact that was regularly the problem. Uber skilled laikers like Stan Bowles ,Tony Curry, Le Tissier were considered luxury players . FFS Glen Hoddle was replaced by Neil fu****g Web.

Can you name me one - just one - player since 1966 that plays better for England than he does for his club?
That England shirt must weigh about 3 stones because it's weighing players down.
We have had the players in England to win each and every tournament that we have played in since 1966 and we haven't won anything.
I blame the culture behind the scenes in the England set up.

 

Is it possible, that the fact players have stepped up a level simply finds them out, not everyone who wears the three Lions can suddenly become world class

 

Difference is Spurs have good players and England do not. We can discuss the influence of Sky on this situation but the fact is Harry Kane is world class. Mind, I wouldn't expect a yes man like Southgate to get much out of him.

 

Bang on Conan. Kane is superb. The players around him are quality. Same for Alli.
They go from playing for a close knit quality team, to having to play with Sterling, Henderson and Livermore. Messi would struggle with the players Southgate picks.
