How the hell can that red card be overturned ....Blatantly kicked his opponent with the intent to blatantly kick him!!!! Or did I just dream that?
Big club bias by the fa who the smaller clubs need to group together to overthrow for the good of the English game. It was clearly dangerous play. He made no attempt to win the ball he was simply kicking an opponent
I think Lansbury had already been booked. If the referee had gave him a second yellow he would have been sent off and there would have been no appeal. Its the straight red card that has been quashed and it can't be down graded to another yellow after the event.
But the point is it shouldn't have been overturned because he kicked out at him deliberately with no intention of playing the ball. The only thing I can think of is that the referee has made an administrative error on his form
I can understand to an extent why it was overturned as a red card, but I thought he was already on a yellow at that point? In that case, he should be banned for one game for two yellows
