    Yeah it's definitely been a frustrating afternoon. Don't think we are relegation fodder though. I don't care what anyone says Villa will be near the top of the league come the end of the season. If there had been a lack of effort I'd probably be pissed off but at least the lads have given it a go.

    We need to look at setting up with 1 up front at home though I don't think it works very well especially when moncur (who was absolute garbage today) is supporting the lone striker.

    We look so poor in every department i wouldnt mind but Villa havent broke sweat to play one up front at home is criminal Hecky needs to have a serious rethink or the new owners might think for him

    The problem is midfieders who can't be trusted hence having to play 3.

    We gifted them two goals which basic defending should have prevented. Do that and at 0 0 we don't have to bust our gut to be in the game. Davies makes the usual keeper stance or puts his foot through it. Jackson stays on his feet...

    Not often I feel like resorting to abuse but you are a Feckin' idiot. A new team full of young improving players up against a multi million pound team of experienced internationals 'Shower of *****'?? really? Pass and move and lots of effort and skill on display. Two individual errors put us on the back foot.

    I despair with some of the people on this board I really do. And as for criticising 'criminal' Hecky... !!!??? Z*()!!

    Your opinion mate I'm entitled to mine but that side coupled with negative tactics isn't going to pull any trees up and yes today they were a shower of ***** second best all over the park especially in midfield

    Over the season we'll have several more defeats like that, and we'll have several more wins like the Sunderland one. My tactic is to ignore the defeats, and go bonkers when we win. We'll be OK this season, in my opinion.

    We were awful from start to finish we made villa look good Hecky needs to show more nous because he's a Barnsley lad shouldn't exclude him from criticism all I saw was negative insipid football

    Individual errors, zero creativity, aimless high balls and poor crosses.... But alot of possession, i thought we were poor overall and didnt deserve anything but i certainly didnt think villa were anything special. Ugbo and thiam has to be the preferred pair up front?

    We made Preston look virtually toothless last week since when they've put 3 past the top of the league and 3 again today.
    It's a young, developing side. We'll have good days and bad. This was out SEVENTH league game.
    Try to get some perspective.
