Couldn't wait to leave us the exact same as winnall. Only difference between the moves was winnall had a realistic chance of promotion to the premier league. Greedy man that can't care that much for the club.
No pop at redfearn just stated the fact he doesn't like us. Hourihane again stated a proven fact he couldn't wait to leave for no other reason but money. Be deluded all you want pal doesn't make either thing less true. Loved both players at the club.
One wasn't in a play off final last year and one wasn't below us in the league until today no? I suppose not quite true since houri$cam earns more so must love us...
Yes you made my point for me. No loyalty he'll move wherever will lace his pockets. Cheers! Summed it up more than I could.
But that's literally every player ever.. I don't think any of our team are Barnsley fans except our head coach. Can't blame the guy for wanting to further his career and get paid.
Nope totally agree. Just cringe at the cult of Connor that acts like he's pining over a return and was forced to leave against his will. Favourite player in a lot of years but not a single delusional about his allegiances as some
Come on Dus , he out grew us , players have done it before and will do it again . We are/were always a selling club and some players leave with dignity and return with that . Conor tonight was a professional and appreciated the bfc fans applause and rightly so
Can you provide any evidence of this fact? I've only ever heard him speak about us positively. I'm not certain but it could have been his book where he also holds us in very high regard. I know I've read it somewhere.
Totally agree and well put. Just a shame that he took the easy option and followed the moneyinstead of getting a well deserved premier league move I think he would have seized.
Conor definitley don't like us. Its not like when Villas not had a game he ain't come and watched us (Sunderland)
Behave. Anyone who knows anything about football know Villa are a lot bigger club than Wednesday, easily one of the 10 biggest in the country. He signed a long term deal there not a 4 month one. I'm sure his long term aim is premiership football with them. Whether it's this season or next they'll be back in the prem before long
Villa are a founder member of the League and the Premier League and are one of the five English Clubs to win the European Cup (1981/82). They are one of the most successful Clubs in the game winning both the League and Cup on seven occasions plus the UEFA Super Cup once. My brother in law who lives in the Midlands was at the game with me yesterday and believes from the recent criticism he's been getting, yesterday's win helped saved Bruce his job for now. He phoned me this morning to say Villa fans have been moaning on social media saying how ineffectual Hourihane and Whelan were. Regarding Whelan , I'm struggling to understand that. As far as I'm concerned I thought he had a decent game. As I've said previously we could do with some proven experience to help the young lads in our team out. I'm not suggesting any two specifically but for me, we could do worse than to loan a couple of players like Jason Shakell and Darren Bent, to give us that bit more guile in the team.
