thats all it was. Not glass, rocks & coins. Not anything that could cause harm. It's paper, ******* paper. Pathetic bairning from their keeper and some online.
its also not allowed, could get the club in trouble and it just gives excuses for time wasting so your point is?
Villa were 2/3 up and Johnstone was looking for an excuse to waste time. The referee can't book Johnstone for removing the paper but he also didn't add it on as additional time. We played right into their hands with the paper throwing. Complete lack of foresight by idiots behind the net.
You are aware that people aren't taking issue with the safety aspect but are annoyed that our fans were time wasting when we were losing
I I wouldn't be too sure. I once went to a pre season friendly at Harrogate, a few of the locals were throwing paper aeroplanes at us, I suffered a slight paper cut when one fell on my lap i and tried to discard it. Thought nothing of it however a few days later I ended up In intensive care with Sepsis.
It's not glass, rocks or coins therefor it's okay and doesn't make you look like total scum. Littering our own field is totally fine, because you know.. it's not rocks. Fantastic support and examples to people. I'm sorry but throwing ANYTHING at opposing players is totally disgusting, regardless of if it could cause serious harm or not. Like I've said before, I don't expect it to happen to Barnsley players on the road and therefor I don't expect opposing players to get it when they come to Barnsley.
We had to get special permission for the cards. It was deemed ok. We did fear this might happen and sadly it did. I was of the opinion fans might keep the card as a memento. But I suppose the score line caused folk to revert to being childish. Lesson learned. Took a handful of us hours to set it all up. Don't think I'll be here for the 150th thankfully.
I'm surprised that people didn't retain the A4 sheet as the sheet plus the matchday program would've looked rather nice in a frame and would've been a fabulous momento, particularly when looking back in years to come.
I took two home for that very reason, a memento of the day. Only disappointment was I got two white ones and wanted a red one! Ni mind.
