I don't think he did too badly against Snodgrass. He won't have played against many better opponents in his career. It's his forward play that lets him down. 20 years ago he'd be a great fullback but modern fullbacks need to have a more attacking side to their hame
I thought he had a fairly decent game defensively apart from the one time he did let Snodgrass back onto his left foot and shoot. I have noticed he likes to tuck in to the centre a bit too much though.
Agree totally he's a battler but it's a shame his not very good league 1 player same as Potts who for me offers not a lot in our midfield.
Thats a very loaded comment , care to expand please, and if your description of him as a person is true, please enlighten
A big baby crying when I think two people gave him stick on Twitter and lied to blame the whole fanbase of Barnsley. Left and slagged the club off. Horrible person
No problem good sir. I actually like Pearson. He's playing left back and while he doesn't look amazing there he doesn't look as bad as some of the actual left backs we've had in recent years
I agree & think he is very much work in progress but given time I believe he will be a useful asset to the club
He's an asset now - in that he's a proper tryer and a utility option, he can in theory play either full back role and centrally in midfield. Suspect he'd do ok as an emergency centre back if we were struggling with injuries or suspensions too. But I don't see him as a starting left back in the championship. I think Fryers may come in for the cup on Tuesday. Any updates on Yiadom and Cavare? Has Cavare even got a squad number?
Thought Pearson did ok yesterday. I think though that when everyone's fit he'll be a back-up but for numerous positions. We have 5 full-backs but 3 injured so he's done well to step-up and eventually I think a spell out of the side will do him good and help him improve on his game as was the case for Roberts, for example
