Plenty of good comments from both of them. Enjoyed listening to the commentary (no access to iFollow yet).
Sounded promising on commentary. How did Fryers do on his debut? Gardner back for weekend too so a few shoots of promise to come from today!
All defence played well , couldn't see goal coming despite all their possession , and we had best chance prior
Thought Stuart was a bit condescending in first half, talked about us like we were league two rather than championship.
I listened to the ifollow commentary and they were saying Fryers played very well but looked exhausted after 70 mins. They seemed to think it was a great debut
Fryers pulled up at the end but we'd used all the subs. Hedges has to move to left back as Fryers couldn't move freely.
I listened to radio Sheff, Dave Bassett was summarising... terrible, Bassett never shuts up, waffles on and on takes 5 mins to say what should take about 20 seconds Wonderr if he's a relative of Red Rains..
All four of the back four played well; Fryers perhaps the last sharp but still good signs from him. I expect all 4 to play again on Saturday. Lindsay was outstanding for me as was McCarthy - saw praise from a Tottenham fan for him, think we have a top player who will be playing in the Prem in a year or two in him. Angus & Lindsay should keep their place at centre-half and hopefully Angus has had a kick up the backside with his spell out of the side. They both know however that Jackson and Pinnock are more than capable and will come in and step up should they play poorly I thought the whole team defended very well last night, especially in the first half. It's not a set-up we're likely to use in the Championship very often, being so compact and keeping shape well, forcing long range efforts, but when needed it will be very useful. We sacrificed almost all attacking intent, but in the first half especially, going toe-to-toe with Tottenham would only have ended in tears and they would have torn us apart
