Really getting worried

Misunderstanding. I meant we need another 6 goalkeepers. My post was however far from serious, but I've edited it anyway!

 

Didn't go today, couldn't be arsed and that's the sad facts of it. That's what he's done to me. Going away and getting beat just makes me feel angry.

This isn't about today or this week for me but I'm looking back in the last 6/8 months.

You couldn't be more incorrect regards Gauthier. Speak to anyone at the club. He's a breath of fresh air. Works his nuts off and has so much respect from the staff.

 

Thought we played well and deserved a point Saturday , gutted to lose last minute , but move on to next game now

 

I appreciate that the highlights don't tell the full story but the defending isn't getting any better on that showing.

I've had nearly 40 years of watching the reds get beat away from home.

Apart from the odd season we seem to have been largely pants on our travels.

 

Outside the top 2-3 in the country, most teams are generally pants on their travels. You will get a good season or two, but then you get promoted and struggle at the higher level or your better players move on. That's football for you. Without hundreds of millions to invest in new players every year (and both Real Madrid, Liverpool and Arsenal have not had the best starts to the season), you cannot guarantee success home or away.

 

I fully appreciate the reasons why. That wasn't my point. I'm just agreeing that losing away from home is nowt to get "angry" about. It's pretty normal to us older fans.

If he can't stomach it now, it's time to call it a day because it'll not change a great deal.

 

I think some are taking my point out of context to what it was meant to mean. It's not just fully about the result it's about how we get there. Tactically it's cost us so many times this season away and at home for sure. Bristol. To start 2 up was suicide. Changed it and from that point we didn't let another goal in. Sheffield United to go 342 in the second half was stupid. We are 1-0 down with both sides down to 10. That second half it was like they had 12 players and we had 9. Embarrassing to walk out of the ground yet again in 2017 and think we didn't have a chance because of things that didn't get decided on the pitch.

We compete at Wembley against a very good team with a certain system. We compete against one of the best teams at home in the champ with the same system in preston. Yet he goes and plays a system at Wolves not in the same style but the one that we had recently lost to a fragile Villa. You are asking to get beat with that sort of logic.

I think 5/9 games this season tatics have cost us imo. Not good enough.

It's funny how high your expectations are for other people in their jobs when you don't work.
