FS..spoken like a proper old school bnp head. So fkin what if he were a "commie" ..i wish he was.. shame he's just a left wing social democrat .. secondly, why should he apologise for the Brighton bombing .. shame it missed Maggie .. he never sympathized with the IRAs Tactics .. but wanting a united Ireland and being against British state terrorism in Ireland hardly makes one pro irish republican of any of its branches..
It's hard from parts of your post to avoid the conclusion that you advocate terrorism. Perhaps you could reassure us all that you don't.
Says it all ..how disingenuous .. listen mate so what if he is a republican.. What's wrong in wanting rid of Saxon-coburgs.. BTW remember when scargill got jib for wanting to bring Adams to a meeting to talk over here. These folk like corbyn etc saw an injustice not just in Ireland..thats why they spoke out against what our govt were doing .. doesn't mean he's a supporter of ira mfi uvf or what ez tha.. . Btw WTF is a pinko liberal democrat when its at hooam
Who said owt about 'apologising' for the Brighton bombing? So you reckon the best way to get a united Ireland was to jump in bed with the IRA ?
You do realise that i too desire much of what corbyn desires. I too desire a protectionist government. However the responses on here have been very interesting. We've had much finger in ears going la - la- la ing: despite the fact everyone knows jeremy had more than a keen interest in northern irish affairs. I am not following a 'right wing agenda' here. My friends and workmates would laugh heartily in the faces of those who suggested i was. They are not media slurs but rather a reality that sadly tarnish all the good that corbyn stands for. I too desire an egalitarian society with a protectionist government. I am a strong and vociferous advocate on behalf of the vulnerable people i am charged with supporting: this has severely restricted my chances of progression within the NHS. So for the crime of attempting to safeguard the basic human rights of patients ( mental health in -patients) i am perceived as a troublemaker. So any notion that my dislike of corbyn is right wing driven pains me greatly.
You keep telling us that you are on the left and as liberal as Ken Clark.. yet all I've read is the same thing in every one of your posts Havana red 1.. The constituency he represents is one of the biggest Irish community's in London.. he supports human rights and justice causes be it in Cuba ,Venezuela ,the num ,South afrika, black Americans.black british westindians ..womensrights.cnd.palestine Nicaragua ,East Timor ,South aeruba, steel workers, nhs..youve just taken in the propaganda that he sided with the Irish against the govt... nothing could be further from the truth ..
Glad I'm not a Tory. I'd be sh!tting bricks right now. As it is, there is a light beyond the misery and chaos - and it's getting brighter. There's my political observations in the shell of a nut..
I don't know if he is a pacifist.. i doubt real leftists are or should be imho You keep saying he supported the IRA..im telling you he didn't... It's a slur used against him by right wing nutters.. Just because he supports rights for Palestinians he's a supporter of the plo and hates all Jews Or that he was against apartheid South Africa and Rhodesia and supports anc and hates whites.. It's just part and parcel of the right wing smears from the Tories and their press to attack anyone on the left.. FWIW.. Who else spoke to SF or the IRA back in the day..?? And even now that SF are near to becoming the biggest party in Ireland..??
Also @havanared1..should BFC've bought Conor Houriane because he was a irish republican.. what did you think "peoples republic of cork" meant on his Twitter??
Have i directly stated he supported the IRA or have i said he supported its goals?: definitely the latter. He supported irish republicanism. Yes i am appalled at the way the jewish state has treated its citizens in palestine ( not that they are considered citizens by the jewish state) But violence has proved futile. Yes i was appalled by apartheid, wherever in the world. Violence in south africa proved futile so a war of morality was waged and won. There's a real unsavoury element to our Jezza: the middle class prep schoolboy who played the rebel but in reality was more of a tooting popular front kind of fellow.
RedKestrel - Are you the one who, in response to my post above in this thread sent me a p.m. last night simply saying "Don't ask daft questions .. dikhead"? without responding on this thread? I haven't had any p.m for months. So when I thrill to the prospect of someone taking the time to contact me, I was let down by what I read. By the way, you will hopefully note that my said post in response to yours did not contain a question. You will now be going on "ignore", but I hope that Site Admin takes note of this kind of behaviour. It is most unsavoury and I believe below a level of acceptability as far as the use of this board is concerned. I thank you.
Sharing the Republican cause of a united Ireland, does not mean that you condone terrorism. Neither does a hope for a free Palestine's rights to it's territories, make you anti Semitic. If it does, nick me now, because I also believe in both.
