Was it at Aston Villa in February? Was the last penalty we were awarded at home during the 2-2 draw with Bristol City last October (which Sam Winnall missed)? We've hardly been inundated with them these past few seasons.
We've got into the box on plenty of occasions these past couple of years without being awarded a penalty. It might just be one of those things and later on this season we get a few more given.
I do not think we are allowed penalties mate..... and the ones we have had were obviously a mistake given by an inexperienced Ref who has not had the no penalties for Barnsley briefing
Well, I'm still waiting for us to be awarded a penalty for a handball outside the area like Leeds got against us last season. But, even though others claim these things even themselves out during a season, I've yet to see it happen.
Wahay! It worked! Next away match the question will be "When was the last time one of our players scored a hat trick away from home?"
If you take the penalties we scored last year and deduct the ones missed/saved, we were -9 for the season. Only Rotherham conceded more than we did (12) with 13.
Interesting that today: -first time we scored 3 away from home since Villa in February -first time we got a penalty since Villa -first time Bradshaw's got 2 in 1 league game since... Villa -those were also his 6th and 7th goals last season! (bit better being in September than February though!)
