Football's amazing. It brings out laughter, anger and sometimes untold joy to those that go then when you had an away trip into it you times that by 10.

You see the team before the game and it brings out certain emotions. That's just how you react to it. I was happy with some parts but questioning others. I was pleased to see Mcgeehan and Barnes start. I wasn't pleased that Pearson, Jackson and Potts yet again started. I heard a couple of comments say that Heckingbottom was almost trying to prove a point with Some of these players especially Potts. The only point you are making is that the ones that boo'd on Tuesday night and those that aren't happy but didn't like me are correct,

I'm not one to do a match report so will leave it to those that do and make a few points.

Davies. Same again from Daives, makes a wonder save early in the match but makes the basic mistakes. Spilt one in the second half.

Pearson. People were laughing in the away end at some of the things he was doing. I'm not trying to be harsh to him but goodness it's a hard watch at time. I'll not write anymore because I don't want to be too harsh.

McCarthy. He's good isn't he. 5th Yellow yesterday. which wasn't good. He knew it at the time so that's a change for the next game.

Centre backs. Lindsey. He was good a little bit soft in the lead to the pen but other than that he looks a proper player to me. Jackson. Got turned a few times deep. One which was on the highlights and brought a top save from Davies. I'd prefer to play Angus.

MOTM Williams. The guys a beast. He's really good. A young lad comes in and takes what he was doing in the cat 1 u23's into our first team int he champ. Great to see from him.

Mcgeehan. Wanted him to play for a little while now and he did yesterday and very well. He's a good player. Little bit of class. Gets up and down very well. Got it all.

Barnes. Now I saw a thread saying this guy should be left out recently. WHY? He's a very good footballer. Get on the front foot and players like this will win you games. Very hard to defend against one on one because he can go either way. Put two on a plate for Bradshaw.

Hammill. Goodness, it's lucky he didn't have to mix with the Millwall fans after. Winding them up before the game even started. He wasn't great int he match put okay. It's strange because that would have been one of the better performances last season but this it's below par for the season. 3-1 Adam.

Bradshaw. He can't play in a 1. That enough for him?

No He was pleased with yesterday. Battle hard and put away the moves which was brilliant to see. Very pleased for him.

Formation. It was back to what works for Barnsley. Mcgheehan was in and did what Gardener did at Preston. It's not rocket Science. Lets have a chance to battle in midfield because we have enough int he front 3/4 to hurt any team with the different options we have.

The other day he was bullish with the fans but yesterday he let him, the team and fans down. It's gone. He's given the pen. we can't go back. Forget it. You, Pearson, Davies everyone. He was very angry before they went in. Then he comes out and he's at it with the 4th official. He's not given the pen it was the Lino I think.

    442. We've seen yet again how easy it was to play against. Millwall played it and it takes any football craft from the middle of the park out. Played it twice this season from what I've seen in the league and it's 3-1 and 3-0

He was right to be angry it was a fantastic goal saving challenge.

I hope someone has a hard word with Bird about diving because ours wasn't a penalty either.

All that and I didn't mention the Laughing Frenchman. Pace Pace Pace. Thiam showed the fans what he could do. Can see he likes coming from out to in with the ball. Wonder if he's got the step-over step-over curve to far corner Martial/ Henry style. The picture the club have got on the twitter montage of him shouting somethings the best this season.

How did Potts play? You appear to have missed him out of your match report after your initial slagging off before a ball was kicked

What an opinionated crock of ****. He's let nobody down, he more than likely got us the penalty in the end, the ref must have been levelling the decisions up.

    TRANSLATION.

Them on loan from Premier League clubs are great.

Them who play for Barnsley and the manager are rubbish.

    As you were.

Why do you keep spoiling yourself?

First away win of the season, and could easily have been 4 or 5 goals to the reds.

Why not just be happy with that, praise the team and the substitutions because hecky made the right ones yesterday and we really went for the win.

Leave out the criticisms, it's not warranted.

They doubled up on Hammill given his last two games v them he scared the ***** out of them.

millwall also played 442 when they turned Leeds over, battered Norwich and held the free scoring Bristol city nil nil.

Potts did well, showed great character to perform so well after the fans got on his back on Tuesday. Had the pleasure of having a chat to Aylott after the match and he said that Potts is crucial to that team as he drives the side forward.

Top marks from me, I'm a big fan. The lad is a proper tryer.

Thiam did a brilliant job when he came on too. His pace caused all sorts of problems, and he linked up very well with Hammill. He probably should have been more selfish once or twice bit he is a real threat. Confident player too, and you could see with how the lads celebrated with him after his goal that they all love him.

He'll be a real fans favourite.

Also big mentions for Barnes and Bradshaw. Miwwaw couldn't handle Barnes at all, and Bradders is showing people just how clinical he is in the 18 yard box

If you think that by not attending games you don't feel the emotions of the game you're completely wrong. Indeed, I find my emotions/ nerves are more shot when listening to live radio commentary than if I had been there. I also get over a defeat better when I'm at the game. Don't know why you can't post an honest opinion without resorting to historic point-scoring digs Phil?
Edit: You criticise Hammill for winding Millwall fans up, You must've seen Their player shushing gesture to Reds fans after scoring the penalty. Balance please Phil.

There wasn't a poor performance out there. The midfield three though were the highlight for me. A really good combination of graft, guile and power. Dominant and made it easier for those behind, ahead and wide of them.

No interest in going over your points because you are entitled to your opinion. But I can't help but read them and think of the word 'agenda'. As always.

Glad you enjoyed the victory, the fans at the den were superb, need that level of support at Oakwell.

Bradshaw proved yesterday that it's not the formation that's the problem, it's the way it's used.

Quite a few time Davies banged high balls to him and predictably the centre halves were in control, but when we worked the ball wide and put the ball in low, he showed what he can do.

We caused Millwall problems in both halves with low crosses yesterday. It was good to see.

One up top doesn't have to start with a striker holding up a long ball, but we sometimes make it look that way.

Looking at the highlights I didn't think ours was a penalty either. But no-one on the Millwall side protested. Their no. 11, who made the challenge, just put his head into the ground as if to say 'What have I done?' If he hadn't committed a foul, he would have been going crazy. Watch his reaction again.

It might be one of those where, if you see it from a different angle, you see the foul.

I couldn't go to the game yesterday, but have watched the highlights and read the reports in a
couple of papers. In every case, the consensus is that we were the better team.
Millwall boss Neil Harris is quoted in the Sunday Mirror as saying " the Tykes deserved the points".
That will do for me. As I've said before, to my mind nothing can be gained by booing or criticising
our own players. They are a young inexperienced group who can only get better as the season progresses.

From what I've seen of Potts so far he's progressive on the pitch, covers a lot of ground and has a good attitude. Granted I've not seen all the games and he'll have some off days given it's his first season at this level. So how was he yesterday?

Bradshaw can't play in a 1 despite scoring 2 goals?
